M51 with DJI N3

Industry background

The flight controller is called the "brain" of the drone. As an important component of the drone, the quality of the flight controller will affect the stability and reliability of the drone.

The quality and stability of DJI products are recognized by customers. Although the price is relatively high, it is convenient to use and not as complicated as other open source flight controllers. Therefore, many drone manufacturers choose DJI flight controllers.Due to the closed source of DJI flight controller, it is unable to access third-party platforms, resulting in restricted applications.

solution

M51 with DJI N3(Air):

Connect M51 S.BUS with N3 S.BUS, connect N3 API with D-Mate*1 API, and connect D-Mate Telem1 with M51 UART1.Connect the HDMI/SDI of the gimbal to the HDMI/SDI of the M51, and connect the UART*2 of the gimbal to the UART2 of the M51.

M51 with DJI N3(Ground):

The ground unit of the M51 is connected to the ground station through the ETH/UART, which enables the video from the air unit side to be stream to Mission Planner/QGC via RTSP. The drone flight controller data, which received by the M51, can be sent to the ground station through the UART, or to the ground station through the ETH. The M51 has an HDMI output interface, which can be output simultaneously with the RTSP stream, that makes the system design more flexible and has a higher level of integration.

The ground unit of the M51 has an S.BUS input interface, which can connect the receiver of the RC to the ground unit. The M51 transmits the RC commands to the flight controller, which truly realizes "All in one" Transmission.
